“The Trick” | “Das Phrogge Stamps”
Rubber stamps were a favorite form of gonzo promotion for Chris Dillon’s band. The three pictured here: “Das Phrogge,” “Serenity,” and the “Copyright” message which concludes with the sentiment “Keep Breathing,” was perhaps the inspiration for the adjacent, signed with a heart Graffito.
“Serenity”
Chris created this rubber stamp art for the cover of the Das Phrogge album “Serenity (...your life outside of your soul), using the art from our 1978 family Christmas card. The stamp also served as a promotion devise.

The small size and sweet nature of this
rendering, offers a peaceful counterpoint to its raucous surroundings. See Terri’s

This tiny Imp may be related to the “Alien”
Read left to right, or top to bottom, its meaning remains tantalizingly obscure.
